The N family is about to grow with the addition of the Ioniq 6 N. The Korean automaker took the opportunity of unveiling its 2026 lineup to introduce this sportier version of its sedan—a car that fans of the model have been eagerly awaiting.
Hyundai’s performance division certainly whet our appetite with the sporty Ioniq 5 N SUV. In fact, all signs point to the Ioniq 6 inheriting the same powertrain, which is excellent news. We're talking about an all-wheel-drive setup delivering a total of 641 horsepower—enough to promise blistering acceleration.
A Futuristic Car
The Hyundai Ioniq 6 already turns heads with its unique shape and aggressive lines. The first images of the Ioniq 6 N show an even more radical design, including a rear spoiler that accentuates its profile. The headlights and taillights have also been slightly redesigned, giving the car even more character. The early visuals also seem to suggest a wider track, which we’ll be able to confirm once official specs are released.
Hyundai has chosen a particularly striking design for the headlights and taillights, incorporating individual pixels. This feature alone gives the Korean sedan both a retro and futuristic appearance.
Smoke, Anyone?
We know the Hyundai Ioniq 6 N will feature all-wheel drive. However, the first official images show a spinning wheel and what appears to be tire smoke. This raises the question: could the Ioniq 6 N be equipped with a tire-warming or burnout mode?

If you’re as eager as I am to learn more about this model, you won’t have to wait much longer. Hyundai is expected to fully unveil the Ioniq 6 N and its technical specifications next month. As for pricing, we anticipate a slight premium over the regular version, similar to the Ioniq 5 N SUV, which starts at over $80,000 including freight and PDI. Still, no matter the final price, it’s safe to say that the Hyundai Ioniq 6 N will have no trouble finding buyers.
