Service Technician

We are a family-owned and operated business in the Calgary community for over 35 years. Our business is conveniently located in the Calgary Auto Mall where Deerfoot and Glenmore Trails meet.

Our Service Technicians play a critical role in developing trust, loyalty, and satisfaction that helps foster long-term relationships with our customers. We are seeking an applicant who can work in a fast-paced environment where excellent organization skills and the ability to multi-task are required.

Required work schedule is Monday-Friday 8:30 am-5:30 pm and rotating Saturdays from 9:00 am-4:00 pm.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar environment and will demonstrate a commitment to learning new processes/procedures.

Job Description outline includes responsibilities such as.

  • Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including but not limited to; Oil changes, tire rotations/replacement, fluid flushes, air conditioner re-charges, alignments, battery installations, and headlight/taillight installations
  • Maintain a working knowledge of manufactures campaign / recalls, technical bulletins, and warranty process
  • Conduct extensive diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of customers’ problems and provide accurate repair recommendations
  • Conduct necessary repairs and take vehicles for test drives to verify soundness
  • Maintain legible and accurate summaries of work performed for the customer, the warranty department, and for our internal records.
  • Clean and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety
  • Stay up to date with Manufactures / Dealership ongoing training

Service Advisor

Precision Hyundai is a high volume metro dealership that is currently looking for an experienced, enthusiastic customer-oriented Service Advisor to join our team. We offer a competitive salary + (team-based) commission and an attractive benefits program. The Candidate must be hardworking and energetic with the ability to multi-task. Previous Dealership Service Experience a plus .

Key Responsibilities

    • Is professional in all interactions with customers.
    • Responsible to clarify and update all customer contact information every time at customer interface.
    • Regularly communicates Status of vehicle to the customer. Informing customer of completion schedule, delays, or any additional work required.
    • Prepare accurate estimates on work to be performed using Mitchel pro demand and Hyundai labor time standards subsequently informing customers of the estimate.
    • Responsible to follow Customer concern resolution process when dealing with issues outside of the Service Advisors scope of authority.
    • Contact customer when work is complete. Review and provide customer detailed explanation of work performed. Confirm customer’s requirement of transportation back to the dealership.
    • Obtains appropriate approval and documents the work to be completed on customers’ vehicle.
    • Maintain and open line of communication with all departments. IE: Appointment Coordinator/Parts Department and Detail Department.
    • Contact customer as required for additional work required for their vehicle with an accurate and documented quote for those repairs.
    • Maintain working relationship with techs. Clear communication. Documenting and returning upsell to Technicians in a timely manner.
    • Achieve a customer satisfaction score which is consistent with Precision Hyundai’s annual business objective which will change from time to time.
    • Monitor and take appropriate action in controlling and managing “work in progress”. IE: SOR parts on order / Pre work authorization and or follow up / Open work orders.
